I West End Penguins Championship

Welcome to the I West End Penguins Cup. For those of us who don't enjoy the football World Cup that much I've created a special competition where current West End shows (plus a few additions of shows that are currently on tour) will compete for the title.

The competition is very simple. We have a bracket with 32 shows paired together. For each pair you, the public, will choose who wins and progresses in the bracket. We'll do that with every pair until only 2 are left to play the final.

This are the details:

• The pairs on the bracket have been completely randomised. Usually in these competitions you get the strongest players on opposite sides of the bracket, but that would mean I have to choose who are the strongest players and people may disagree, so every show has been considered equal.
• On May 16 at 12:00pm we'll publish on Twitter the first pair and you have 48 hours to vote for your favourite
• On May 18 at 12:00pm voting closes for the first pair and we'll publish the next one, along with the results of the previous vote. You have again 48 hours to vote for your favourite
• Every 48 hours there will be a new pair to vote for and, if I have not miscounted (which is possible), The West End World Cup Final will take place on the same day as the Football World Cup.
• Depending on how it goes we may decide to give some prizes during the competition, which will be announced on our Twitter and added to this page
